Château de Lamartinie stands in Ytrac (Cantal), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 16th century, first half of the 17th century, 19th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
What the French Ministry of Culture records
Manoir mentionné pour la première fois en 1592. Au 19e siècle, le château fut acheté par la famille Bouygues qui le fit restaurer en 1895 par l'architecte Lemaigre-Dubreuil. Il s'agit d'un logis-donjon carré sans doute élevé dans un premier temps au 16e siècle (aile sud). Un corps d'habitation allongé flanqué d'une tourelle d'escalier polygonale hors-oeuvre lui fut accolé à la fin du 16e ou au début du 17e siècle. Une troisième partie nord, symétrique au donjon sud, fut rajoutée au 18e ou 19e siècle. En 1895 furent construits sur la face Est une tourelle polygonale adossée au revers du corps central, ainsi qu'une tour de flanquement nord-est. Une tourelle sud-est flanque l'autre extrémité de l'édifice. Cette tourelle, couronnée de corbeaux comme le donjon carré, lui est peut-être contemporaine. Une aile relie ces deux éléments et délimite, sur la face Est, une cour intérieure en vis-à-vis d'une autre aile perpendiculaire au corps de logis principal nord-sud. A l'intérieur, un certain nombre de pièces ont été réaménagées à la fin du 19e siècle et dotées d'un décor.
