Successive owners since the 16th century added staircase turrets, wings and an inner courtyard, culminating in a restoration carried out in 1895 by architect Lemaigre-Dubreuil for the Bouygues family. This last campaign gave several rooms a troubadour-style decor, now protected along with the building itself.
