Château de Broussette stands in Reilhac (Cantal), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 13th century, second quarter of the 14th century, 18th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
What the French Ministry of Culture records
Du château du 13e siècle, il ne reste qu'une des deux tours carrées, construite en appareil régulier, rabaissée de deux niveaux et couverte d'une toiture à quatre pans reposant sur de faux machicoulis. A l'intérieur, des dispositions et décors d'origine ont subsisté, dont l'escalier à vis, les sols dallés et en tomettes, les cousièges, la voûte d'ogive du premier étage et une table armoriée entourée d'une accolade reposant sur deux culots à masque humain. Le reste fut détruit aux 16e et 18e siècles et remplacé par un corps de logis en L aux dispositions classiques. A l'intérieur, les aménagements datent surtout du 19e siècle. En 1335, une chapelle fut édifiée près du château. De style gothique, elle possède un choeur à pans voûté d'ogives et éclairé par une baie en forme de rosace. Le château est intégré dans un parc paysager garni de terrasses et de pavillons du 17e siècle.
