What the French Ministry of Culture records

Maison forte du Comté de Foix. Château du 17e siècle, sans doute construit sur des éléments plus anciens. Il se compose d'un quadrilatère massif cantonné de trois tourelles de dimensions différentes. Sur celles du nord-ouest et du nord-est, des vestiges de corbeaux donnent à penser qu'ils pouvaient soutenir antérieurement un chemin de ronde. La façade principale, au sud, comporte une tourelle d'angle en légère saillie, avec fenêtres à meneaux et une porte d'entrée à linteaux de pierre surmontée d'un arc de décharge. Certaines des fenêtres à meneaux d'origine ont été transformées. A l'intérieur, deux imposantes cheminées en stuc sculpté. Une troisième cheminée plus modeste, également à décor stuqué, comporte un panneau peint sur son manteau.
