Château de la Turpinière stands in Sennely (Loiret), in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: fourth quarter of the 17th century, first quarter of the 18th century, first quarter of the 19th century). What the French Ministry of Culture records
Le fief est attesté au début du 15e siècle. Le château, entouré de fossés, était desservi par deux petits ponts de bois amovibles qui figurent encore sur un dessin du 19e siècle, remplacés depuis par des ouvrages de maçonnerie. La chapelle actuelle date de 1810. La précédente était située dans l'un des pavillons du château. L'édifice est constitué d'un corps longitudinal élevé sur un terre plein, en fond de cour. Il est cantonné, à l'ouest, par deux pavillons carrés. Deux autres pavillons carrés, jumelés, cantonnent la cour d'honneur, à l'est. Les éléments intérieurs d'origine ne semblent pas avoir subsisté. Ce château est représentatif des châteaux solognots tant par le type et l'origine de sa construction, à la fin du 17e ou au début du 18e siècle, par un riche bourgeois d'Orléans, que par son affectation de pavillon de chasse à la fin du 18e siècle, ou par les modifications subies au 19e siècle pour transformer les demeures seigneuriales en résidences confortables.
