Le nom de la propriété est en relation avec le thème iconographique d'une fontaine, à laquelle sont accoudés le Christ et la Samaritaine, qui en constitue l'élément central. Par son type et son iconographie, cette fontaine est exceptionnelle en Lorraine. Caractéristiques du premier quart du 17e siècle, les bâtiments de plan en U composant la demeure précèdent au sud un jardin en terrasses aménagé au 18e siècle. Deux pièces à l'étage du corps central conservent des décors peints du 18e siècle, ainsi que des lambris.
