Château de la Forêt Neuve stands in La Gacilly (Morbihan), in the Bretagne region of France. No visits are on record for this building.
The Château de la Forêt Neuve stands on a hill overlooking the marshes of Glénac, part of the town of La Gacilly in Morbihan. Built in the late 15th century as a hunting lodge for the marshal de Rieux, it still holds from that period a great hall with a monumental fireplace, a wall cupboard and a schist staircase, along with a chapel with an early timber roof. Destroyed by fire during the Revolution, the building was rebuilt in 1826 using materials salvaged from the earlier structure, combining red schist with granite and limestone dressed stone.
