To make a day of it
Château de La Ferté-Beauharnais stands in La Ferté-Beauharnais (Loir-et-Cher), in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The château de La Ferté-Beauharnais stands in the Sologne region, at the edge of the village bearing its name, within a fifteen-hectare landscape park. Built of pale millstone and white stone from 1752 for François de Beauharnais, it belonged to the family into which Empress Joséphine married, through her husband Alexandre de Beauharnais, and later to their children Eugène and Hortense. The exterior is the main point of interest, with its two corner towers topped by pepper-pot roofs, while the interiors retain little of particular note.
