Its history begins with a plain defensive tower from the 13th century, later extended with towers dated to 1359 and then the 15th century, forming a coherent defensive group. The main dwelling, built at the end of the 15th century on three levels, still bears its machicolations, altered in the 18th century when a tall roof and dormer windows were added. The grounds contain a cluzeau, an underground cavity typical of the Périgord region.
