Le château est au centre d'un domaine agricole encore complet et important, à la fin du 18ème siècle. Edifié en 1756, la demeure présente un rez-de-chaussée, un étage et un étage en comble surmonté d'un toit à quatre pans. Deux communs disposés d'une manière asymétrique complète l'ensemble. On note la présence, en 1570, de Marie de Blosset, dont la famille est connue dans l'histoire du protestantisme icaunais et nivernais ainsi que celle, au 20ème siècle, de la famille de l'éditeur Firmin Didot.
