This is no longer a fully visitable château but scattered remains: a gateway with a partly collapsed vault, a hexagonal tower rising some thirty metres above the river, and a later dwelling within the second enclosure. The site carries eight centuries of history, from its founding attributed to a bishop of Autun to the sieges of the 15th century during the conflicts between the Dauphin and the Duke of Burgundy.
