What the French Ministry of Culture records

Une seigneurie est attestée dès le Moyen-Age. Le château a été édifié au 17e siècle, avec un parc qui comportait, à l'origine, un jardin à la française avec deux terrasses. Vers 1860, l'actuel parc à l'anglaise a été créé par un architecte paysagiste parisien. En 1890, agrandissement du parc. Près du château, côté jardin, se trouve une pièce d'eau datant de 1895, alimentée par un bélier hydraulique Bollée.
