Overlooking the Rance estuary at Saint-Malo, the château de la Briantais was built between 1850 and 1864 for Eugène Sully-Brunet, replacing a 17th-century manor whose ruins still stand in the park. The two side wings, added shortly before 1900 by the La Chambre family, complete a building that still holds much of its original interior decoration. Owned by the town since 1999, the estate is best explored through its 27-hectare landscaped park, dotted with follies and statues, offering open views over Saint-Malo, Dinard and the tidal power plant.
