What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château de Kerninon est situé à moins d'un kilomètre au nord-ouest du bourg de Ploulec'h, en direction du Yaudet, et couvre aujourd'hui une vingtaine d'hectares de terres boisées et agricoles. Il fut durant cinq siècles (1427-1925) la propriété de la famille Le Roux de Kerninon. On retrouve quelques éléments d'un manoir du 15e ou 16e siècle dans le logis actuel, bâtiment reconstruit pour l'essentiel au 18e siècle et jusque dans la première moitié du 19e. Une chapelle et un pavillon 18e marquent l'entrée d'une cour d'honneur, et un colombier s'élève à l'intérieur d'un jardin clos de murs. Cet ensemble est complété par quelques dépendances 19e, notamment des écuries et une ancienne cidrerie.
