To make a day of it

Manoir de Kervégan stands in Lannion (Côtes-d'Armor), in the Bretagne region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 15th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The Manoir de Kervégan, built in the early 15th century in Lannion, is connected to the former seigniory of the same name. This small rural Breton property bears witness to several noble families who owned it: the Tertres, the Boisgelin and the Kergariou. Although the building suffered damage during the 20th century, architectural elements remain, notably the door listed as a historic monument and coats of arms carved on the north-east outbuildings.

What to know

  • The manoir is not open for regular visits.
  • Only the door is protected as a historic monument, since 1964.
  • Coats of arms of former lords remain visible on the outbuildings on the north-east side.
  • A primitive chapel dedicated to Saint-Nicodème, probably dating from the late 14th or 15th century, was located approximately 150 metres south-west of the manoir.
