What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château signalé au 12e siècle, fortifié en 1386. L'édifice actuel date de la fin du 15e ou du début du 16e siècle. Les bâtiments de communs sont accompagnés d'un pigeonnier de plan circulaire, orné des armes des Vignerot. L'église abrite les gisants en marbre de René de Vignerot et de son épouse Françoise du Plessis de Richelieu, soeur du Cardinal. Exécutés vers 1625 et attribués à Michel II Bourdin. Les parties hautes de la chapelle sont défensives.
