Frémigny castle stands in Bouray-sur-Juine, in the Essonne department, on the site of a former Gallo-Roman villa. Built in the 18th century by the Huguet de Montaran-Sémonville family, it later passed to Charles-Tristan de Montholon, who accompanied Napoleon during his exile on Saint Helena. Bought in the 1930s by banker André Homberg, it has belonged since 1963 to the insurance group now known as AXA, which restored it in the 1980s to turn it into a training centre.
