What the French Ministry of Culture records

Ce château était la demeure des propriétaires de la fabrique de porcelaine de Foëcy. De l'ancien château médiéval ne subsistent que l'ouvrage d'entrée (15e ou début 16e siècle) et une ancienne tour de défense. Le château actuel fut élevé au 18e siècle, après 1719. Le châtelet d'entrée de l'ancien château présente un plan quadrangulaire et est accosté de chaque côté d'une petite construction également carrée. Le porche de l'ouvrage d'entrée, muré, a servi de lieu de culte protestant vers 1830. Le château du 18e siècle est un long corps de logis rectangulaire présentant, sur ses façades nord et sud, un corps central légèrement en avancée, aux quatre angles occupés par un petit pavillon carré. Le parc a été planté vers 1820-1830.
