Of the fifteen or so towers and the long enclosing wall that once defended the site, only one wing and a corner tower survive, altered during the 15th and 16th centuries. The most striking feature is a hexagonal turret with finely carved mullioned windows and a spiral staircase built into the thickness of the walls.
