Located in the commune of Villiers-sur-Yonne, a short distance from Clamecy, the château de Cuncy is a fortified house dating back to the early 14th century, later reshaped into a seigneurial residence over several centuries. Visitors can see a square keep crowned with machicolations, two wings built in different periods, a round turret resting on a squinch, and a chapel with Romanesque-style bays. The site still bears traces of its defensive past, from vanished curtain walls to moats filled in when the Canal du Nivernais was dug.
