What the French Ministry of Culture records

Maison forte dont l'aspect tant extérieur qu'intérieur résulte de deux campagnes de travaux majeures. La première fut entreprise en 1624 et conférât à la bâtisse une silhouette fortifiée avec chemin de ronde, échauguettes ainsi que de grandes fenêtres à croisées de pierres servant à éclairer les salles du premier étage dotées de plafonds peints à la française. La seconde campagne eut lieu au 18ème siècle. Elle permit de procéder à des aménagements de confort : mise en place d'un avant-corps plat en façade et d'un escalier à jour central avec garde-corps en ferronnerie. Le premier étage est modifié par la création de pièces lambrissées à plafonds plâtrés. Les gypseries de belle qualité du salon du rez-de-chaussée datent probablement d'une campagne de travaux des années 1780. Plafonds peints à la française.
