To make a day of it

Château de Concley stands in Poil (Nièvre), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

In the Morvan hills, in the commune of Poil, the château de Concley stands on the site of a lordship recorded as early as the 15th century, though the building seen today was erected in the mid 18th century. Altered in the 19th century to give it a medieval appearance, built of granite and rendered rubble stone, it retains a park with remnants of a French formal garden, outbuildings, a well preserved ice house and a chapel. The chapel houses a 16th century terracotta relief of the Annunciation attributed to the Della Robbia workshop in Florence.
