Built between 1750 and 1765 in Ille-et-Vilaine, Château de Clayes-Palys replaced a medieval manor, traces of which remain in the outbuildings. This rectangular residence, featuring a raised ground floor, first floor and attic, is distinguished by its pavilions framing the entrance. The vestibule houses a sculpture by Falconet, Cupid Vanquishing Time, once commissioned by Louis XV for Mme de Pompadour. An ornamental staircase with wrought-iron railing completes the interior.
