What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château a remplacé un manoir appelé, en 1427, "hostel de Beauvois". En 1680, Louis XIV érige la seigneurie en comté. L'édifice date, en majorité, du 17e siècle. Le château est bâti en équerre et flanqué de deux tours rondes aux extrémités de la grande aile avec, au centre, une tour carrée. L'escalier principal est entièrement en granit. L'escalier secondaire est en bois et à balustres. La plupart des pièces ont conservé leurs boiseries d'époque Régence.
