In the Périgord noir, near Saint-Crépin, this manor house from the 15th and 16th centuries still carries its stone lauze roof and the bearing of a fortified stronghold turned private home. Visitors can see a hexagonal stair tower topped with a wrought iron weathervane, an older square tower once used as a dovecote and later a court of justice, and mullioned windows added during a 17th century extension. Ridley Scott also used the building for interior scenes in his film The Duellists.
