Château de Chanteloup stands in Chanteloup (Manche), in the Normandie region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 14th century, 15th century, 16th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

What the French Ministry of Culture records

Ensemble de bâtiments médiévaux et Renaissance. Décor sculpté de la première Renaissance. Le château médiéval se présente comme un polygone irrégulier entouré de douves formées par un étang artificiel. Un pont dormant en pierre donne accès à l'ancienne poterne. Sur le flanc sud du château se dresse le donjon. Il comportait à l'origine une salle basse voûtée et quatre étages à chambre unique. Dans la partie orientale est conservé un vestige d'appareil défensif. Une grosse tour cylindrique, paraissant contemporaine de la base du donjon, présente un escalier à vis à la base. Du côté nord, une console témoigne des anciens mâchicoulis. Le logis Renaissance comprend un bâtiment avec deux ailes, complété par un second bâtiment plus petit. Dans l'angle se dresse une tour carrée. Les ailes droite et gauche ont été amputées. Le décor se localise autour des fenêtres : pilastres, candélabres... Le vocabulaire de la première Renaissance d'influence italienne se lit sur les façades de ce logis.
