Exemple de l'architecture du 15e siècle, le château est entouré de douves et présente une tour octogonale, appelée tour Mélusine, terminée, au sommet, par le plan carré auquel elle passe au moyen d'encorbellements. Une seconde tour, de plan circulaire, accolée à la façade principale, contient l'escalier d'accès aux étages. Les deux tours sont tout ce qui reste de l'édifice primitif. Ces deux tours ont été réunies, au 17e siècle, par un bâtiment élevé vraisemblablement sur les fondations de l'ancien château. S'élevant près de l'entrée, une tour isolée remonte au 13e siècle.
