The château de Chaillou stands in Châtillon-sur-Indre, on the boundary with Villedômain, in the Indre department. Two wings meeting at a right angle, topped with a roof pierced by large dormer windows, form the 17th-century façade, which conceals older remains: on the south-east side, two turreted towers and Renaissance-style windows recall the earlier manor house. Held in private hands for more than two centuries, it is not open to visitors.
