What the French Ministry of Culture records
Les différences d'appareil dans la construction de la tour et du bâtiment effondré, laissent supposer qu'il existait une première tour dont ne se conserverait que la base se poursuivant par un mur d'enceinte. Détruits en partie, ils furent remontés et le mur d'enceinte servit de base à la construction d'un corps de bâtiment reliant la tour à un deuxième corps de bâtiment parallèle à celle-ci. Tous les bâtiments s'ordonnent autour d'une cour trapézoïdale dont le centre est occupé par un escalier à deux volées menant au premier étage. A l'intérieur, au rez-de-chaussée, boiseries de style Louis XIII.
