The Château de Lavagnac stands at Montagnac, in the Hérault department, on a large estate overlooking the Hérault valley. Built between the second quarter of the 17th century and the first half of the 18th, it combines a turreted main building, stables, an orangery and balustraded terraces around a large entrance courtyard. Having passed through several noble families, from the Polastron to the princes of Conti and later the Daudé d'Alzon, it remains a private property today, tied to a real estate development project.
