Construction au 13e siècle d'un donjon carré, agrandi aux 14e et 15e siècle par l'adjonction d'une tour ronde au sud, puis la construction d'une enceinte quadrangulaire délimitant une cour fermée. Aménagement de logis aux 17e et 18e siècles, avec présence de boiseries et de décors peints du 17e siècle. Au 18e siècle, création de jardins formésde parterres. Ajout de décors à la fin du 19e siècle. Le plan de l'édifice traduit une continuité ininterrompue du Moyen Age à l'époque moderne.
