To make a day of it

Château de Bogenet stands in Pionnat (Creuse), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

Bogenet castle stands at the hamlet of Bosgenet, in the commune of Pionnat in the Creuse department, some distance from the town centre. Its L shaped layout and three round towers of differing sizes point to a manor house altered over generations by a succession of owning families. Inside, a large fireplace still bears the coat of arms of the Dissandes family, the last lords of the estate after the Martin de Biencourt and Lejeune de Fressanges families. The 17 hectare property, now used to house children and teenagers, includes meadows, woodland and three ponds.
