In the mid 17th century the building gained low wings, turrets and a new roof over the central tower, giving the complex its present appearance. A 16th century fountain with basins remains in the inner courtyard, and another Renaissance fountain stands in the park. A private residence, the château served as a filming location for the television film L'enfant des lumières in 2002.
