Château de la Dauge stands in Ladapeyre (Creuse), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 15th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
In Ladapeyre, in the Creuse department, the château de la Dauge still has the fortified gatehouse and surrounding moat that survive from its medieval origins. This gatehouse, the only remaining part of the late 14th century structure, shows a complete defensive system with drawbridge, a wall walk on machicolations pierced with arrow slits, and thick walls fitted for cannon. The adjoining residence dates from the 17th century, rebuilt after a fire around 1820. The property is privately owned and not open to visitors.
