Château de Bachen stands in Duhort-Bachen (Landes), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: second half of the 18th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
Overlooking the Adour valley at Duhort-Bachen, this Landes château was fully rebuilt in the second half of the 18th century on the site of an earlier fortified settlement, once the seat of a barony. Its main house, with a tall roof reminiscent of Béarnaise architecture, is extended by a low wing of outbuildings set at a right angle. The surrounding vineyard, part of the Tursan appellation, still has a wine cellar and a traditional Landes farm building.
