Château reconstruit au milieu du 15e siècle (architecture empreinte d'influence flamande) pour Antoine de Castelnau, chambellan de Louis XI, sur le site d'un castelnau médiéval. A l'est, corps de logis du 15e siècle ; au sud, une aile en retour d'équerre de la fin du Moyen Age réaménagée au 19e siècle ; à l'ouest, un châtelet d'entrée, ouvrage défensif rhabillé au 19e siècle ; au nord, la construction démolie a laissé place à un fossé en eau, dont le tracé courbe épouse le contour d'une butte récemment arasée (motte féodale?).
