What the French Ministry of Culture records
Le château, construit ou reconstruit au 14e siècle, reprend le plan des châteaux à enceinte géométrique. Des tours d'angles encadrent les courtines. Une tour plus importante, le donjon, est intégrée au système de défense. Les bâtiments d'habitation et de service sont adossés aux courtines. La construction a été amputée du mur ouest de l'enceinte et de la plus grande partie des bâtiments d'habitations et de service. La tour nord a disparu. Les autres tours d'angle et le donjon ne conservent que leurs murs et ont été tronqués.
