The Château d'Étrabonne stands in the heart of the village, facing the church, on the remains of a stronghold of the county of Burgundy dating back to the 11th or 12th century. Visitors can see traces of a turbulent past marked by repeated destruction and rebuilding: a medieval great hall, a chapel, the remnants of three towers including a round keep, and a 15th-century U-shaped residential wing. Still a private home today, it once belonged to the sculptor Albert Pasche, who received it as a gift in 1956.
