What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château fortifié, construit au 13e siècle, qui était dominé par un haut donjon carré ayant disparu. De cette forteresse subsiste une partie de l'enceinte avec la tour nord-ouest, la courtine ouest flanquée de deux tours découronnées. Le château proprement dit fut reconstruit au 18e siècle, entre deux tours de la forteresse du 13e. Le bâtiment présente des façades nord et sud surmontées d'un fronton triangulaire dont la décoration ne fut pas exécutée. Dans la courtine ouest fut ouverte, au 16e siècle, une porte en anse de panier accostée de pilastres.
