Château d'Aurouze stands in Molompize (Cantal), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 14th century, 15th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Above the village of Aurouze, in the commune of Molompize, stand the remains of a medieval fortress whose construction began in 1309 with the authorization of Philip the Fair. What survives today is a south-facing wall flanked by two towers, one having served as the keep and the other housing a spiral staircase, while the rest of the walls are partly or entirely gone. The site suits those drawn to feudal ruins, turbulent history, and open views over the valley.
