What the French Ministry of Culture records
Erigé dans un style néo-gothique en 1852, le Castel de Floirac (appelé « château Ledou » sur de vieilles représentations) se voit ajouter en 1924 une extension Art déco greffée sur ses parties orientales et septentrionales. En 1940, le Castel est loué par le galeriste Paul Rosenberg qui y reçoit Braque et Matisse. Le Castel est par la suite occupé par les Allemands. Acquis par la commune de Floirac dans les années 1950, il fait actuellement l'objet d'un projet de réaménagement.
