Wesserling castle stands at the centre of a vast industrial and landscaped estate covering 42 hectares in the Thur valley, at Husseren-Wesserling. It was once home to the manufacturers who ran the former textile mill, whose buildings, gardens and outbuildings still surround it today.

Château de Saint-Ulrich (Saint-Ulrich Castle)

Above the town of Ribeauvillé, the castle of Saint-Ulrich stands on a rocky spur over 500 metres high, alongside the Girsberg and Haut-Ribeaupierre castles. It served as the main residence of the lords of Ribeaupierre from the 12th to the 16th century, before they moved to a more comfortable castle below.

Perched on a rocky spur above the road to the Oderen pass, at 666 metres of altitude, the ruins of Wildenstein castle crown the Schlossberg above Kruth. First recorded in 1312, the stronghold endured sieges and destruction through the 17th century, later serving as a stone quarry for nearby villages.
