In Gourin, in the Morbihan region, the Minguionnet manor house retains the character of a Breton lordly residence built between 1460 and 1480. The rectangular main building, flanked by a lower wing set at a right angle and a stair tower, has kept its original layout. At the entrance to the lane leading to the manor stands the calvary, the sole surviving element of the outbuildings that once surrounded the property, the mill, chapel and dovecote having disappeared.
