What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le manoir est construit sur un promontoire rocheux dominant l'estuaire de la Rance, laissant supposer qu'il s'agit d'un ancien éperon barré. Le site atteste d'une occupation défensive ancienne, conservant une motte féodale à l'entrée du promontoire. Le corps de logis principal, de plan allongé, date de la seconde moitié du 16e siècle. La façade antérieure présente une tour d'escalier hors oeuvre polygonale puis carrée, ainsi qu'une ornementation Renaissance sculptée. Au 18e siècle, le logis est agrandi de deux petites ailes basses et intérieurement réorganisé. Une nouvelle chapelle est construite, des jardins en terrasse et une promenade sont aménagés. Plusieurs bâtiments de communs, dont certains du 19e siècle, sont conservés, ainsi qu'un ancien colombier.
