The building has kept its rural gothic features: pepper-pot turrets, pinnacles, tall chimneys and a stair tower pierced with dormers that houses a dovecote. A chapel stands nearby, founded in 1640, reached along a tree-lined avenue that passes the gatekeeper's house.
