To make a day of it

Domaine du château du Rozel stands in Le Rozel (Manche), in the Normandie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: first half of the 18th century, 19th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The Rozel château estate stands set back from the Cotentin coastline, close to the church of Saint-Pierre. Reworked between the 16th and 19th centuries, the complex combines a two-storey manor house reached by a double-flight staircase, corner towers crowned with troubadour-style battlements, and farm buildings including a three-arched cart shed. A walled garden with its enclosing walls and pavilions completes the grounds, and the visit is mainly experienced from the outside of the buildings.

Written from Manoir du Rozel
