To make a day of it

Château de Beaurepaire stands in Hardinvast (Manche), in the Normandie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: first half of the 19th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Beaurepaire castle, in Hardinvast in the Manche department, combines a round tower dating from a 15th century manor house with a large neo-gothic residence built in the 19th century. The circular keep, the only remnant of the medieval stronghold destroyed during the Hundred Years' War, stands alongside wings remodelled under the Second Empire by British architect William Henry White. The hundred-hectare landscaped park, with its ponds, obelisk and windmill, is now the main part open to visitors.
