There is no standing building to tour here, only a motte, a ditch and an earthen rampart that still trace the shape of the original enclosure. What draws attention is the site's history: Richard the Lionheart and King John both stopped here, and a persistent tradition links it to the Bruce family, later kings of Scotland.
