In Pervenchères, in the Orne department, the Vauvineux manor stands on the site of a former medieval stronghold, of which only part of the main building and a polygonal stair tower remain. Rebuilt in the late 15th century by Lorin de Cissé on the ruins of the Carrel family's castle, the building was later used as a farm, and its chapel was converted into a barn after the Revolution. A notable surviving feature is a fireplace decorated with an angel bearing fleur-de-lis emblems, a remnant of the original interiors.
