The château de la Pellonière stands on a hillside at Le Pin-la-Garenne, in the Orne department, on the site of a 13th century stronghold that no longer exists. The present buildings, largely rebuilt in the 15th and 17th centuries, combine a manor house with a polygonal stair tower, a machicolated pavilion from the Henri IV period, a dovecote and a gateway flanked by two towers. It is privately owned and closed to visitors, though its old facades, roofs and outbuildings can still be seen from outside.
