Château du Tertre stands in Belforêt-en-Perche (Orne), in the Normandie region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument. No visits are on record for this building.
In the heart of the Perche region, at Belforêt-en-Perche, the château du Tertre keeps the memory of writer Roger Martin du Gard, who lived there from 1925 until his death in 1958. Built in brick and stone during the 17th century in the Louis XIII style, the building still holds his study and library just as he left them. The nine-hectare park, awarded remarkable garden status, spreads follies, statues and water features around the main house.
